OluKai is a maker of Hawaiian-inspired footwear that is worn and tested by surfers, lifeguards and outdoor enthusiasts of all backgrounds. Their mantra states, "OluKai believes that anyone, no matter where they are, can live Aloha".
I collaborated with the e-commerce and marketing teams to develop and implement various digital projects; including the re-design of their website on Shopify, e-mail messaging and social media ads. With a heavy emphasis on brand photography, voice and product, all of OluKai's marketing materials are designed with island inspiration in mind and simple, user-focused messaging.
I developed visual direction for the OluKai homepage, focusing on product and campaign images. This specfic layout focuses on the brand' F/W '19 slipper campaign, suggesting the comforts of home can be found anywhere with OluKai's products. Each module offers multiple entry points to view products of all categories and genders with heavy emphasis on the current F/W campaign.
Multiple E-blasts were designed and implemented using Exponea for various product campaigns. Each e-mail showcases an indepth look at product and offerings for both genders. These targeted campaigns aligned with the KPI goals of the ecommerce team and were developed with customer data and habits in mind. Mobile first design principles were adhered to all e-mail blasts, reflecting current user trends.
I worked with a small team of motion desginers and photographers to produce several Social Media ads. This specific Ad was launched during the summer campaign and is meant to highlight the water-friendly nature of OluKai's Sandals. Combining video and motion graphics, the ad showcases each of the sandal's water-friendly features, while enjoying the Hawaiian summer with friends. I was responsible for the overall concept, storyboard and sound editing as I collaborated with OluKai's Creative Director (Matt Lindauer), Motion Designer (Ray Ramierez), Art Director (Dan Mercado) and Photographer (Ben Ono) to organize the casting, shoot and scenes of the ad.
